Kaufmann’s Grand on Fifth Avenue

In September 2020, Lubert-Adler recapitalized an existing Joint Venture in the redevelopment of the 1.2 million square foot, 13-story former historic Kaufmann’s department store in Pittsburgh. The building is located at “main-and-main” in Downtown Pittsburgh, with numerous restaurants and cultural offerings.

The building consists of 311 luxury apartments with high-end amenities, a 160-key Even Hotel, a 410-space parking garage and 100,000 square-feet of commercial space. Much of the commercial space has recently been leased to Target and Burlington. Some of the featured amenities include a rooftop basketball court that will be converted into an ice-skating rink in the winter.
